Blocking File Type Policy

Our file type policy is that we block certain file types such as any executable file on Windows. This is a necessity for helping keep networks virus and worm free. We actively block the following file types exe, bat, com, lnk, asd, shb, vb, wsf, wsh, pif, scr, chm, hta, shs, vbs, vbe, js and jse.
